Sony's VAIO TR1A Notebook is Sony's lightest two-spindle notebook. It is incredibly compact, but it is startlingly feature-packed. This Centrino machine is configured with a 900MHz Ultra Low Voltage Intel Pentium M processor, 1MB on-chip L2 cache, a 30GB hard drive and 512MB DDR SDRAM (expandable to 1GB). In addition to the 400MHz bus speed, it features an 8x4x24x8 (max. speeds) CD-RW/DVD-ROM combo drive, an integrated 640 x 480 digital camera, one Type II PC Card slot and a Memory Stick slot. For your communications needs, use the 56K V.90 modem, 10/100 Ethernet, or IEEE 802.11b wireless LAN. You won't believe the extreme clarity the 10.6" widescreen XBRITE LCD display delivers at up to 1280 x 768. And with the included Dolby headphone technology, it is perfect for viewing movies and video when you're on the go. The standard Li-Ion battery lasts up to 7 hours.
