The eMac, Apple's most affordable PowerPC G4-based system, comes complete with a 17" flat CRT display and a space-saving, all-in-one design that fits right in your home. It's configured with a 1.0GHz G4 processor, a 256KB on-chip L2 cache, a 80GB ATA/100 hard drive and 256MB PC133 SDRAM (expandable to 1GB). In addition to the 133MHz bus speed, the eMac features a DVD-R/CD-RW SuperDrive that lets you record your own DVDs and CDs, as well as two FireWire ports and three USB ports (plus two more on the keyboard). For your communications needs, it includes a 56K V.92 modem, 10/100BaseTX Ethernet and a slot for an optional AirPort Extreme wireless networking card.
The 17" (16" viewable) flat CRT supports resolutions up to 1280 x 960 at a 72Hz refresh rate - nearly 40% more viewing area than a 15" CRT at 1024 x 768. The ATI Radeon 7500 graphics use 32MB DDR SDRAM to deliver crisp visuals and smooth video. Meanwhile, the integrated high-performance digital audio system includes an internal 16W digital amplifier, stereo speakers built right into the main unit and a built-in microphone. The eMac comes with 4x4 EVO 2, Sim Theme Park, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, the Apple Pro Keyboard and the optical Apple Pro Mouse.
